As the end of the year approaches, the time for superlatives has come. This version, however, has a unusual twist: the students have been replaced by teachers. The school staff has come together to compile a list of their fellow colleagues to determine the educators with all the best features required to be a great teacher. From being the nicest to the smartest and everything in between these teachers have what it takes to teach at the high school level.

First year Assistant Principal Emmet Conroy started of the superlatives with the most outgoing teacher, and someone that would have made an impact on him in his first year at the school.

“I think this fits under the category of most outgoing, this would be Allen Beland, photography teacher, in the sense that whenever I see him in the hallway he always has some sort of funny story or funny joke,” Conroy said.

Most likely to brighten your day:

“Ms. Luna, in the main office, always with a positive attitude, always willing to smile and chuckle and laugh,” Beland said.

Most likely to win American Idol:

“Mr. Olsen, he sung the ‘National Anthem’ at the [staff] basketball game, and he was really good,” Luna said.

Most likely to surprise you on the dance floor:

“Mr. Brian Sims, he looks calm, cool, and collected, but I think he has an unseen side,” Olsen said.

Most likely to be a secret billionaire:

“Mr. Dean, I am attuned to his finances and I already know that he is somewhat on his way. He is very good at saving it and not overspending,” Sims said.

Most likely to never lose an argument:

“Ms. Newcomb because she is a graduate of my arch-rival, UVA, and she seems to know everything and she is just always right,” Sims said.

Class clown:

“Mr. Raut, he is just crazy,” Newcomb said.

Worth noting, Raut was surprised by his class clown nomination as Newcomb was nominated twice for the same title back in high school.

The Mastermind:

“From what I hear, Mr. Bunting. I heard he would just watch youtube videos and learn anything,” Raut said.

Some final thoughts from Bunting, The Mastermind:

“You can’t repeat the past,” (The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald).
