At at least one point during someone’s high school career, they will come to school late – usually on Mondays, according to the attendance office. Every day of the week sees late arrivals, though. Some people get stuck in traffic, while others just need a few more minutes of sleep. Here are a few reasons why students arrived after 8:19 today:

Ben Ashby, junior: “I left my house too late.”

Cal Birgisson, junior: “I took too long to get ready.”

Noah Sawyer, freshman: “I missed the bus.”

Angela Glover, sophomore: “I spent too long looking at my phone.”

Sydney Honorable, junior: “I accidentally set my alarm for 8:10 instead of 7:10.”

Jalen Fontillas, junior: “I was stuck in traffic on the way to the career center, so I just decided to come here.”

Lydia Hecmanczuk, junior: “I was planning for the senior gift.”

Adrian Ahmetspahic, junior: “I just slept in.”

These are just a few reasons why students were late today. If you ever find yourself running late, remember to sign in at the attendance office before going to class. In fact, if you really need that extra hour of sleep, take it – one single tardy never hurt anybody.
