Although the Olympics are only once every four years, two of our school’s security guards participated in their own Olympics during second period. Security guards Yannick “Captain” Tanda and Maceo Carter-Ways battled it out in an epic 3-point contest.

Captain started off by going 0-for-9 from the corner 3 spot. He passed the ball to Carter-Ways, who proceeded to record zero makes in 11 attempts.

During the second round, Captain had no baskets in nine attempts. The scoring drought continued with seven missed shots from Maceo.

After both of them traded off more misses, Maceo finally hit the first shot of the contest from the corner. Captain followed it up with a make from the corner a couple shots later. The shots started falling for both of them as they traded threes again.

Maceo won after scoring from the top of the key and the corner.
