The Time to Tune in to Christmas Spirit

When it comes to Christmas music, there are certain times when it is unacceptable to start listening. Someone who is blasting Mariah Carey in the middle of July is going against what makes Christmas so special. It is a season that evokes a unique feeling for everyone and should be celebrated for a limited time period.

To start, people who start listening to Christmas music regularly before November are in the wrong and need to stop. One should have an experience when the radio is turned on and Christmas music is playing. When people listen to Christmas music sporadically throughout the year it will ruin the spirit that is felt during the season. If someone is listening to the music because they really like the artist, they should consider listening to other music from the discography. Both Michael Bublé and Mariah Carey have very popular Christmas songs, but also have great music that is completely unrelated to Christmas. When faced with the temptation of listening to Christmas music early, you should resist because it will be worth it when the season starts.

Many people often listen to Christmas music in November, but before Thanksgiving. While this is slightly better than the previous situation, I still frown upon the lack of respect that is redirected away from Thanksgiving. If people are already preparing for Christmas then they will not appreciate the holiday season of Thanksgiving. It is understandable that many are tempted to celebrate Christmas as the weather turns colder, but it would be beneficial to wait until after Thanksgiving to start showing your spirit.

Once Thanksgiving is over, the majority of people see it as the perfect time to turn on the Christmas spirit, yet I would prefer to wait the few days until December. This is definitely much more acceptable than the previous two, but it still makes the Christmas season last too long. Especially with Christmas near the end of the year it makes sense to sacrifice a little bit of happiness for a much better Christmas season. Although this is not the perfect time to start listening, it is still very acceptable and understandable.

If you could not already tell where this is going, the best time to start listening to holiday music is December. Once the calendar turns to the twelfth month, there is nothing better to do than listen to the best Christmas songs. Waiting until December enables you to have twenty five days fully devoted to Christmas. This will make the season seem special and give you the excitement of a little kid when Christmas rolls around. Nothing will be better than blasting the holiday music while decorating the tree with your family. It is very hard to resist, but will enhance your Christmas experience thoroughly.

With Christmas music cravings occurring constantly through the year, it is painfully difficult to not give in. But in the end it is worth it. When December comes it will bring happiness and satisfaction to people as they sing their hearts out. There is no better time to start listening and it will bring limitless Christmas spirit.
