While walking down the hallway, it is clear that there are two different types of people: those who wear baggy t-shirts, and those who don’t. Style has evolved throughout the world and the school. From Vineyard Vines and Sperry’s to Champion and Supreme, our school has a wide variety of styles. After being asked about their inspiration for their outfit of the day, here are just a few of the best dressed Patriots.

Sophomore, Jacob Cochran:

“I am wearing this shirt because I like standing out, and it is comfortable. The weather is getting nicer, so I can’t dress in long sleeves. My shorts are just standard, I don’t want to be too out there. [My style is] casual, I guess.”

Freshman, Alexandra Mendelsohn:

“I am wearing an Andy Warhol shirt that I borrowed from my friend, light wash high-waisted jean shorts from Pacsun and Stan Smiths. [My style is] pretty casual most of the time, and usually pretty light and airy. [I get my fashion inspiration] from musicians I really like, like David Bowie. I love Urban Outfitters.”

Special Education teacher, Brannon Burnett:

“I am wearing a pink button up with a brown and blue striped tie, grey pants, brown shoes and colorful socks. My style is stylish.”

Sophomore, Aaryan Awasthi:

“I think my shorts are from Walmart, and I got [my shirt] from a gift shop, well actually my dad did. I ordered my New Balance’s online, and my glasses are from Sears. My style is casual, but comfortable. Sometimes I go to GoodWill, and sometimes my mom gets me things. I think thrift shopping is fun.”

Junior, Clarence Wright:

“This shirt was my cousins, and these shoes are from Nike. This is a chill, and laid back [outfit]. I like shopping at H&M, Ralph Lauren or anything laid back.”

Principal, Bridget Loft:

“I am wearing my college t-shirt, because go Hoos! [Also], it is college t-shirt day. I am wearing white pants because I feel so radical since it is before Memorial Day. I would describe myself as preppy, and [my favorite place to shop] is Talbots.”

Freshman, Ethan Anderson:

“I am wearing a drug rug, some jeans and some Vans. I have a lot of clothes, so before I go to the bus I just throw some on. I would describe my style as ‘me.’”

Senior, Amelia Levy:

“I am wearing a University of Georgia (UGA) shirt from the UGA bookstore, Nike leggings that I stole from my friend Becca two years ago and New Balance shoes that I stole from my sister’s closet. I like to mix it up, sometimes I dress casual and comfortable, and sometimes I wear a skirt and some booties.”

Most students chose to describe their style as comfortable and casual. However, it is not uncommon to see students slaying in the hallway. Whether they are dressed cute or comfy, the Patriots are always dressed to impress.
