As technology has begun to consume our daily lives, autocorrect and spell check have become one’s trusty companion. Typical vocabulary words people use every day, for example unnecessary, colleague, or even achieve seem like they would be straightforward and easy to spell. However, you’d be surprised at the trouble the average person has with these simple words. In an effort to measure how a tech-filled quarantine affected student spelling capabilities, I put those roaming the hallways to the test. Here were some common ways our school misspelled words.
