It’s that time of year again; the anticipation of giving and receiving presents has people in a flurry before Christmas. An especially stressful gift to buy is the one for your very own father. As the holiday season approaches, the pressure of delivering our fathers a great gift becomes more and more imperative. Luckily, here’s a list of excellent presents that will surely please any dad.
An easy way to please any dad is by supplying them with a brand new grill or any items associated with a grill as many dads have the goal of becoming a master at grilling. These gifts will come in handy when it’s time to cook something up for the whole neighborhood. With a new grill and a bit of practice, your dad will surely get it down in no time.
Another great gift would be an annual pass to the National Parks, so he can truly get in touch with nature. If your dad is always telling you to go outside and get some fresh air, you can return the favor and make him take a trip in the open air. You might consider joining him as an added bonus. Even if you decide not to, he will still have a blast and may bring other friends along with him. Imagine all the free time you will get as an added gift for yourself.
If Dad already has access to the great outdoors, you can at least improve the experience by gifting him new equipment for his adventures. A pair of new hiking boots or sticks as well as other camping necessities will come in handy when he decides that he’s not sleeping at home tonight. Other clothes, such as a fleece jacket or flannels, would certainly make his excursions more fashionable and comfortable. Most outdoor gear can be acquired at REI or Dick’s Sporting Goods.
A staple of fatherhood is believing that they can handle all projects around the house—even though they may be out of their capabilities. If you are faced with a gift decision for a fix-it dad, then you certainly can not go wrong with a tool kit for his future DIY projects. Many of these are available at local retailers such as Home Depot, Ace and other local hardware stores.
If you are in search of a more affordable gift, a brand new razor is a great way to go. You may have to do some research as to what razor would suit his needs the best. Many brands offer great razors, such as Harry’s, Gillette or whatever brand your father has a preference for. I’m sure your mother would appreciate you promoting good grooming from your father
If your dad has a green thumb, a new lawn mower, string trimmer and a garden rake would be fantastic gifts. If he’s the type of guy to disrupt your Saturday afternoon to send you to work in the yard, then these gifts can benefit you too. With a new lawn mower or string trimmer, your dad may not ask for your help anymore. If he does, you can remind him who got him those gifts. If that fails to work, then the new tools themselves will help to shorten your work.
Following my advice will lead you to a successful gift giving season. Even if you decide not to follow my advice, your dad will still love spending the holiday season with you. Whether you decide on a store bought gift or home made, he will appreciate it all the same.
