If you ever catch me scrolling through Instagram, odds are I am in the midst of watching food videos. There is no denying the fact that I follow an alarmingly high number of Instagram food accounts, and I may even have somewhat of a strange addiction. Recently, Instagram accounts that post pleasing videos of food being prepared, have become extremely popular. Some accounts have even reached millions of followers, including Buzzfeed Tasty, which currently has a whopping 15.1 million.

Below, I ranked my favorite food accounts in two different categories: recipe video accounts and restaurant review accounts.

Recipe Video Accounts:

Buzzfeed Tasty – 9.7/10

Buzzfeed Tasty, one of the many Buzzfeed Instagram accounts, posts addicting videos of over-the-top treats in addition to realistic dinners. The recipes for honey barbeque chicken wings, three-ingredient creme brulee, homemade soft pretzels, and pumpkin spice donut holes can all be found on their Instagram page. With holiday recipes including peppermint mocha cannolis and sugar swirl cookies, Buzzfeed Tasty has you covered for this holiday season.

SO Yummy – 9.3/10

SO Yummy posts mouth-watering videos that will make you want to jump into the kitchen. From combining apple pie and funnel cakes to cheese stuffed garlic bread, they provide recipes for just about anything. Specifically around the holiday season, SO Yummy posts the recipes for many festive treats including Christmas tree cakes and cheese platters in the shape of wreaths.

Restaurant Review Accounts:

This Insider Food – 9.6/10

Similar to Buzzfeed Tasty and SO Yummy, This Insider Food is an Instagram account which posts intriguing food videos. However, rather than showing how the food is made, This Insider Food travels across the world reviewing noteworthy restaurants. From ramen museums in Tokyo, to mochi donuts in Hawaii, This Insider Food has restaurant reviews for just about anywhere.

Buzzfeed Food – 9.4/10

Based in New York City, Buzzfeed Food informs its followers on the newest “food trends,” and the best places to try them. Although stationed in New York, Buzzfeed Food reports on restaurants from all over the world and country. If you are looking for mac and cheese burgers in California, or pie ice cream sandwiches in New York, Buzzfeed Food is the account to follow.
