2016 was an interesting year for everybody

2016 was a long and complicated year. It seems like only yesterday that the ball dropped in New York City, and now we are weeks away from the new year. There is a lot to be said regarding the expectations for 2017, but there is also a lot to say about 2016. Students from each grade were asked to describe 2016 in a five-word sentence. While it may seem easy at face-value, narrowing an entire year into five words can actually be challenging due to the fact that so much happened, so the students are forced to pick the most eventful moments of their year.

Freshman Robert Gay: “Trump is now our president”

Junior Davis Patterson: “Year of the come up”

Senior Marisa Fitz: “Peor ano de mi vida”

Junior Jill Maisel: “Want to play 8-ball pool?”

Junior George Rebh: “Paul missed an open layup”

Freshman Camille Kuwana: “Year to try something new”

Senior Sydney Davis: “Let me look on google”

Senior Chace McLemore: “The longest year ever made”

Sophomore Paige Halsted: “Whose parents can drive us?”

Junior Tim Kent: “It gave me many opportunities”

Junior Megan Tucker: “Really really really really long”

Junior Peggy O’Neil: “The time to be alive”

Sophomore Earl Msimanga: “Surprising to say the least”

Senior Sydney Nassetta: “2016 was very eye opening”

Freshman Melina Sequeira: “Year of confrontations was strange”

Senior Steve Dierkes: “You wanna GP next period?”
