Thanksgiving often gets overlooked as the little brother of Christmas. However, a lot of people don’t appreciate the traditions that come with it. For many people, it’s a day spent with family watching football, the Macy’s Day Parade, and gearing up for Black Friday. However, everyone can agree that the meal is the most important part of this holiday. And the pie served at the end of the meal always manages to catch everyone’s attention.
While there are only a few shops in Arlington that specialize in pies, they all receive high praise for their outstanding deserts. Livin’ the Pie Life has consistently been a fan favorite shop.
Livin’ the Pie Life has the perfect atmosphere when you walk into their shop. The shop brings a sense of warmth but what will really catch your attention is the aromas wafting around the shop. The mix of savory and berry filled pies may not sound like a good mix but clearly Livin’ the Pie Life is doing something right to have their shop smell that good.
At this shop, the pumpkin pie is regarded as one of their best. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I couldn’t miss out on a holiday classic. This pie did not disappoint, and the buttery crust mixed with the sweet pumpkin was a delicious combination.
Their spinach and cheddar meat pie has also received glowing reviews. Just like the pumpkin pie, the meat pie did everything right. For a shop that specializes in baked goods, they sure know how to cook. The bakers at this shop seem to have perfected their craft and it shows.
The food isn’t the only thing that gets a 10/10, however. Their outstanding staff makes sure everything is good and that all your questions are answered. Without them, the shop wouldn’t bring the same warmth and comfort.
For anyone in need of a sweet treat and has some time to spare, you have to check this shop out. For such a small shop to pack such a punch was honestly surprising. Hundreds of people will walk past this shop everyday, glance at it, and just keep walking. If only they knew just how good of a shop this was, they would be doing a whole lot more than just glancing.
This shop will remain at the top of my list for baked goods and I hope others will get a chance to try it and enjoy it as much as I did. Be sure to try a little bit of everything because over at Livin’ the Pie Life there isn’t anything they can’t cook up to perfection.
