Whether it is playing football or lacrosse, senior Stevie Picot is always on the move. So it is fitting that, when asked to describe his life as a movie genre, Picot said definitely action. He excels on and off the field with both school work and sports practices. However, when Picot has free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends or watching his favorite show Game of Thrones. Staying on top of sports, social life and school work can seem like a difficult task for some, but for Picot it is a piece of cake.

“Sports have taught me to manage my time, and teamwork,” Picot said.

Picot is looking forward to his third year on staff as the online editor with his two role models Alex Brandolino and Jackson Cummings by his side. From the friendships he has made to the newspaper secret Santa, Picot has many fond memories of the class.

“Last year, for the newspaper secret Santa, Ben Stoffel got me an elf hat,” Picot said.

A fun fact about Picot is that if he could eat one food for the rest of his life he would choose lasagna.

Just this past summer, Picot left the country for the first time, to Europe. However, his favorite place he has ever traveled to was Maine where he went camping. Next time he travels outside of the US, Picot hopes to go somewhere a bit more tropical.

“I would go to the Caribbean for the weather, and because I left the country for the first time this summer, but it was to Europe and I think the Caribbean would be cool,” Picot said.

With one year left on the Sentry, Picot is ready to make the most of it. As a hardworking and dedicated student, it is obvious that he has a lot ahead of him in his future. Picot was great to get to know, and clearly he plays a major role in making up the fun Sentry staff.

Sophomore Louisa Currie joins the staff of The Sentry as the third of her siblings to do so. Out of all the new reporters and photographers, Currie probably had the easiest decision when deciding to take the class. In addition to her family legacy, the Wiedemann-Obetts block period was her favorite class last year.

She comes across as a very down-to-earth person, considering how she was able to correctly answer nine plus ten as opposed to giving the famous social media answer of “21.” In a hypothetical situation, Currie would choose to live in Nigeria if she had to live in a developing country. This is fitting because her ideal job involves something to do with travel, so maybe she could lead safaris or be a tour guide.

On another note, Currie describes herself as cool, funny and nice. She hopes to avoid being labeled “weird” like the unfortunate senior who came before her and described herself as “weird.”

“I don’t want to end up with a nickname lasting all of high school,” Currie said.

Her favorite celebrities are the Kardashians, and, sadly, her least favorite is Adam Sandler. It’s a little unclear how Adam Sandler can be anyone’s least favorite celebrity, but so be it. Currie’s favorite animal is a dolphin and, if she could be in a movie, it would be The Shallows. This is sort of ironic because The Shallows is about a shark attack, so Currie is obviously undeterred when it comes to hopping right in there with the sea’s deadliest predator.

If you’re looking for Currie, maybe you can catch her in her house in Greece with the Kardashian family and her pet dolphin. There’s a solid chance she will also be watching The Shallows and planning a trip to Nigeria.
